Reliance Jio launched its first smartphone in collaboration with Google earlier this year. JioPhone Next is designed for those who want to switch from a mobile to an affordable smartphone. The original JioPhone hit the market in 2017, which the company launched as “India ka phone” to offer a 4G device to phone users at a very low price, valued at 50 million rupees. The following is a quick rundown of the list of phones Reliance Jio has released so far.

The JioPhone was released in 2017

In contrast to the second version of the JioPhone, the original JioPhone offers a small screen and a numeric keypad. The device is made of sturdy plastic and has a 2.4-inch QVGA display. Comes with ready-to-use KaiOS.

This is a typical phone, but the device has some smart features as well. With this JioPhone, you can use Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, JioTV, JioCinema, and other apps. It also supports voice assistants. You can even connect this phone to a TV using JioMediaCable, according to the company’s website.

The 4G device has 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. In terms of optics, there is a single 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera sensor. There is a 2000mAh battery under the hood.

The original JioPhone is available in India for 1,999 rupees, and for the same price, you get the benefits of free unlimited voice calls to all networks and 2GB of high-speed data every month without paying more. Note that this unlimited offer is valid for two years. After that, you need to buy prepaid apps from JioPhone.

When you buy the device for Rs 1499, Reliance Jio offers 1 year of unlimited voice calls and 2GB of unlimited data. It is important to note that if you run out of 2GB of data, you will still be able to browse web content, but at a reduced speed.
