A new scary movie called “A Quiet Place 3” is in the works. We’re going to tell you what we know about it so far, like when it’s coming out, who’s going to be in it, and what it’s about.

First, the guy who played Jim on “The Office,” John Krasinski, made a movie in 2018 called “A Quiet Place.” It was a horror movie that people really liked. Then, in 2021, he made a second one, and there’s also a spin-off in the works. But now, John is working on a third movie in the main “A Quiet Place” series.

In these movies, there’s a family called the Abbotts. They’re trying to survive in a world that’s all messed up because aliens came and took over. These aliens are super dangerous because they hunt using sound. So, the people have to be super quiet to stay safe.

When Will A Quiet Place 3 Release?

In February 2022, they told everyone that “A Quiet Place 3” is happening, and it’s coming out in 2025. The guy who made the first two movies, John Krasinski, hasn’t said if he’ll write and direct this one.

But before that, there’s a new movie in the “A Quiet Place” series called “A Quiet Place: Day One.” It’s a prequel, which means it happens before the other movies. This new one is coming out on March 8, 2024. It’s about a different group of people, not the Abbott family. The cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Denis O’Hare. Djimon Hounsou is also in it, and he played a small part in the second movie. This time, his role might be bigger. The story happens in New York City, which is a noisy place, and it shows what it was like when the aliens first came.

John Krasinski, who made the “A Quiet Place” movies, is also working on another movie called “IF,” and he’s in it with Ryan Reynolds. That movie will come out in May 2024. So, he’s busy with that until then.

Because of all this, it’s not likely that John will start working on “A Quiet Place 3” until late 2024. It’s similar to how the second movie was made in 2019 but didn’t come out until 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They hope to release “A Quiet Place 3” in 2025, maybe around Halloween time. But there might be delays because of a strike, so it could end up coming out in early 2026 instead.

Who Will Appear in A Quiet Place 3?

In the next “A Quiet Place” movie, just like the last one, it’s going to be all about the Abbott family who survived. Emily Blunt will be back as the mom, Evelyn, and Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe will return as her kids, Regan and Marcus.

Emily Blunt talked about how she and Cillian Murphy, who played Emmett, and John Krasinski, the director, discussed keeping the series going. They want to work on it together.

Since John Krasinski is working on the third movie and Emily Blunt is coming back, Cillian Murphy will probably be back too as Emmett, who is a friend of the Abbotts.

John’s character, Lee, died in the first movie, so he might not be in the movie as an actor. But he appeared in flashbacks in the second movie, so he could do something similar in “A Quiet Place 3.” He’ll be involved behind the scenes as the director.

Djimon Hounsou played a character called “Man on Island,” and it’s not clear if he died or not. He’s also in the prequel movie, “Day One,” so there’s a chance he could come back with a surprise twist in “A Quiet Place 3.”

What Will Happen in A Quiet Place 3?

In “A Quiet Place 2,” Regan and Emmett were trying to find the source of a strange sound signal. They discovered that it was coming from an island where the aliens couldn’t reach. While on their journey, Regan and Emmett developed a close father-daughter-like bond because Emmett was a friend of the Abbott family from before the alien invasion.

At the end of the second movie, Regan managed to change the signal on the island to match the sound her hearing aid makes, which the aliens are scared of. But it’s unclear how far this signal can travel because the Abbott family couldn’t hear it at their home.

In “A Quiet Place 3,” it’s likely they’ll continue to show how humans are fighting against the aliens to protect this safe community. With the anti-alien signal now coming from the island, maybe the safe area has grown beyond what’s surrounded by water.

John Krasinski, the creator, even hinted that there are some hidden references in “A Quiet Place 2” that will connect to the third movie. So, it seems they’ve been planning the third part for a while.

As for the release date of “A Quiet Place 3,” it hasn’t been officially announced yet.
