Asur Season 2 Review: Star Performance:

Barun Sobti undergoes a profound transformation, not just mentally but also physically, in the second season. His appearance becomes more disheveled, not in a flashy manner, but rather in a subtle and understated way. It might go unnoticed by some, but the actor puts tremendous effort into imbuing his character with authenticity, making it appear effortless. This leaves me wondering why nobody ever recognized the strength and determination in these individuals (including the talented Siddhant Gupta from Jubilee), considering their long-standing presence.

Arshad Warsi doesn’t forcefully portray a police officer simply because his role is more substantial. Instead, he opts for simplicity, and that’s precisely what makes it work. Although the script occasionally falls into repetition to build up to a grand moment for his character towards the end, the actor never allows you to stray from his side.

Both Riddhi Dogra and Anupriya Goenka have pivotal roles that significantly contribute to the story’s progression. However, the script completely overlooks the fact that Dogra’s Nushrat was once attracted to Sobti’s Nikhil, causing the charm of their dynamic to fade away.

Finally, someone has recognized Meiyang Chang for a role that transcends his ethnicity, color, or looks. The actor ensures that he proves himself worthy of the opportunity. While there is still a long journey ahead, we can clearly witness the actor’s potential for tremendous growth.
