Avatar 3: After the movie Avatar became super popular and made a lot of money, the director, James Cameron, spent a long time working on more movies in that same world. He planned to make four more movies, and the first one, called “Avatar: The Way of Water,” came out in 2022.

Avatar 3 release date

In June 2023, Disney announced that they were changing the release dates for all three upcoming Avatar movies. Avatar 3, which was supposed to come out in December 2024, will now be released in December 2025 instead.

In June 2023, Jon Landau, the producer of Avatar 3 and The Way of Water, showed a sneak peek of the third Avatar movie. He shared a touching moment between Jake Sully and a Na’vi character we don’t know much about.

Cameron hinted that Avatar 3 will be different from the first two movies. In the earlier films, we saw some Na’vi as good examples and some humans as bad examples. But this time, it will be the opposite. We’ll likely see some Na’vi characters who are not so good and some humans who are better than usual.

Cameron also promised that Avatar 3 will continue the story of the main characters from the previous movies and take us to new places on Pandora.

When it comes to the bad guy in Avatar 3, James Cameron has told us that there will be a “new villain” who is actually from Pandora, not from the human side. It seems like this new villain will be more of a personal threat compared to the “faceless, military machine” villains we saw in the first two movies.

In a 2018 report by BBC News, they mentioned four titles for the upcoming Avatar sequels. They said that Avatar 3 was called “Avatar: The Seed Bearer,” followed by “Avatar: The Tulkun Rider,” and “Avatar: The Quest for Eywa” for the later films.

However, it’s important to note that “The Way of Water” is confirmed as the correct title for Avatar 2, but there’s no official confirmation about the titles for the other movies in the series.

How long will Avatar 3 be?

The third Avatar movie is currently in progress, and they haven’t decided on its final length yet. There are some rumors going around that James Cameron, the director, submitted an early version of the movie to the studio after Avatar: The Way of Water came out, and it was supposedly nine hours long.
