Coldplay announce two Dublin concerts for August 2024

Coldplay, the famous band, is going to have two concerts in Dublin next summer as part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour.

The shows will be at Croke Park on Thursday, August 29th, and Friday, August 30th, 2024, if they get permission to perform.

Before these concerts, the band had a series of shows in big European stadiums during the summer of 2023. They finished this tour with their fourth Amsterdam show on Wednesday night.

The concerts in Dublin next summer will be the third set of shows they do in Europe as part of this tour.

If you want to buy tickets early, there will be presale tickets available on Tuesday, July 25th, starting at 10am. Otherwise, general ticket sales start on Friday, July 28th. You can sign up for the artist presale by going to the band’s website.

Coldplay has some exciting new dates on their tour! They will have their first-ever shows in Greece, Romania, and Finland. Also, they’re returning to Rome for the first time since 2003 and visiting Budapest again for the first time since 2008.

The band, including Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and creative director Phil Harvey, hasn’t played in Ireland since 2017 during their A Head Full of Dreams tour.

At that time, many fans were sad because tickets sold out really quickly. But now, they have a chance to see Coldplay again in Dublin during the upcoming concerts.

Coldplay started their Music of the Spheres World Tour in March 2022. Since then, they’ve sold more than 7.5 million tickets to their shows.

Recently, a report from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) showed that this tour is much better for the environment. Compared to their previous stadium tour in 2016/17, the current one has produced 47% less CO2e emissions on a show-by-show basis.

Also, during this tour, they’ve already planted five million trees all over the world, which is almost like having one tree for each person who attended the shows at the time of the study.

Coldplay has been around since 1997 and has made nine studio albums, with the latest one being Music of the Spheres released in 2021. Over the years, their music style has changed a bit, from being an alternative rock band in the beginning to becoming more pop-focused in recent times.
