Here’s what we know about Extraction 2, the return of Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake. The movie is a sequel to the 2020 action-packed film that gained a lot of popularity on Netflix.

Extraction, based on a graphic novel by Ande Parks, had thrilling moments that surprised viewers and became Netflix’s most-watched original film.

Extraction 2 Release Date & Time

Netflix has announced all the new movies coming in 2023, and one of them is Extraction 2! The thrilling sequel will be released on June 16, 2023.

You can watch it on Netflix starting at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on Friday, June 16. Many fans of Hemsworth are excited to see Tyler Rake again, especially considering what happened at the end of the first movie. It’s quite surprising that he’s still alive!

Extraction 2 Starcast

In Extraction 2, we’ll see Chris Hemsworth returning as Tyler Rake, Golshifeh Farahani as Nik Khan, and Adam Bessa as Yaz Khan. They are the only characters from the first movie who will be back for the sequel.

Some new faces joining the cast of Extraction 2 are Tinatin Dalakishvili as Ketevan, who is the person Tyler needs to rescue this time.

We also have Olga Kurylenko from Black Widow playing a character named Mia, and Daniel Bernhardt, who is an actor and martial artist, will be playing Konstantine.

Other new cast members include Andro Jafaridze as Sandro, Miriam and Marta Kovziashvili as Nina, George Lasha as Sergo, Levan Saginashvili, the World Arm-wrestling Champion, as Vakhtang, and Idris Elba as the mysterious Man in the Suit.

What is Extraction 2 about?

In Extraction 2, the plot revolves around Tyler Rake’s mission to rescue a family from a dangerous Georgian gangster. He must go inside one of the most dangerous prisons in the world to save them.

However, things go wrong during the extraction, and the gangster is killed in a fierce battle.

Now, his vengeful brother is after Tyler Rake for revenge. Netflix hasn’t revealed many details about the plot yet, as they like to keep things secret until closer to the movie’s release.

At the end of the first movie, Tyler Rake seemed to be shot and killed, so the beginning of Extraction 2 will explore how he survived that situation.

As expected, there will be intense action as Tyler Rake takes on Georgian gangsters, faces deadly prisons, and deals with the revenge plot.
