Hyundai Exter SUV launched at Rs 5.99 lakh

Hyundai has introduced a new SUV called the Exter in India. It is their most affordable SUV and costs Rs 5.99 lakh for the base model, going up to Rs 9.31 lakh for the top model (excluding taxes and fees).

The Hyundai Exter is available in five different versions: EX, S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. Many people in India are interested in the Exter, as Hyundai has already received over 11,000 bookings for it. Among these bookings, 38% of people chose the automatic transmission version, and 20% chose the CNG (compressed natural gas) variant.

The Hyundai Exter has a stylish design with LED lights in the shape of the letter “H” for the daytime running lights and tail lamps. It also has wide wheel arches, 15-inch alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, roof rails, and thick protective cladding around the body.

Inside the car, the Exter has a black cabin with comfortable seats covered in semi-leather material. It features a digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice commands in different languages, and the ability to update the system over the air. The SUV also has convenient features like wireless charging, a built-in dashcam, and keyless entry.

For safety, it comes with ESC (Electronic Stability Control), hill assist control, ABS with EBD (Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), six airbags, seatbelt reminders for all seats, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors and cameras.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Exter is powered by a 1.2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 83 horsepower and 114 Newton meters of torque when running on petrol. When using CNG, the power output decreases to 69 horsepower and 95.2 Newton meters of torque.

The petrol version of the SUV offers a choice between a 5-speed manual gearbox or an automatic manual transmission (AMT), while the CNG variant only comes with a manual transmission. The AMT versions of the Exter also have paddle shifters for added convenience while driving.
