Is Jennie Leaving BLACKPINK?

There are rumors spreading online that Jennie Kim might leave the group BLACKPINK. These rumors have been mostly seen on a Chinese social media platform called Weibo.

Many posts on Weibo have been talking about Jennie possibly ending her contract with YG Entertainment. One user even said, “According to a reliable source, Jennie will leave YG Entertainment after the Encore concerts.”

More posts started appearing, and the news became popular on the site. Fans are saying that Jennie’s recent performances haven’t been as good as before. These rumors started after Jennie acted in an HBO show called The Idol, released her own collection with Calvin Klein, and appeared in a podcast episode with Dua Lipa. People think she might go her own way, especially since Weibo suggests that other members of the group might do the same.

Another post said, “Jennie from Blackpink won’t renew her contract with YG Entertainment. The company is still talking to Lisa, but Lisa wants to leave. Rose is confirmed to join Black Label. Jisoo will either stay with YG Entertainment or join Black Label.”

People think we’ll hear more about this after BLACKPINK’s Encore concerts, which will end with their final show in Los Angeles on August 26. We’ll have to wait for more details.
