Joe Jonas files for divorce from actress Sophie Turner

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are getting a divorce after being married for four years and having two kids together. The singer from the Jonas Brothers filed for divorce on September 5, as confirmed by Trending Update News.

In his request, the musician said that his marriage with the Game of Thrones actress “can’t be fixed,” as reported by the Today show, which got a copy of the filing.

The news of their breakup was unexpected because they seemed happy together. The actress shared pictures with the musician backstage at Jonas Brothers concerts and joked around with him on social media. Even when people started talking about them splitting up, the singer still wore his wedding ring on stage and even posted a picture wearing it just before we heard about the divorce.

Even though their love story has ended, it wasn’t always difficult for Jonas and Turner. After Jonas reached out to her on Instagram in 2016 and they got engaged, Turner confessed that she didn’t expect to get married. She once said, “I was getting ready to stay single forever.” But she realized that when you find the right person, you just know.

In the summer of 2019, a lot of people were excited about the wedding between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. It was a fancy wedding in a French castle, and they both seemed really happy. But in the summer of 2023, things changed. They filed for divorce in a Miami court. They started dating in 2016, got engaged in 2017, and have two kids together, a three-year-old girl and a 14-month-old baby.

Sophie Turner wasn’t a fan of the Jonas Brothers before she met her husband. She even said, “My friends and I didn’t like the Jonas Brothers; we didn’t like them at all.” But her feelings changed after he got in touch with her on social media.

“We were both following each other on Instagram, and one day, he messaged me,” she said in her May 2019 interview with Harper’s Bazaar U.K. Later on, they met at a bar, and the musician made a good impression on her. She thought he might come with security and act unfriendly, but he proved her wrong. She said, “I expected him to show up with security and everything. I thought he’s going to be difficult.”
