The eagerly anticipated trailer for the movie “Kushi,” starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda, has arrived, showcasing the challenges that love faces and how it might not be sufficient to sustain a marriage. The trailer kicks off by introducing Vijay and Samantha, depicting how they find love in the beautiful landscapes of Kashmir. However, their love story takes a difficult turn as their families become involved and go to great lengths to keep them apart. Despite this, Samantha and Vijay manage to overcome obstacles, tying the knot and embarking on a journey to prove their families wrong. Yet, the question remains: Can love alone keep them united? The highly anticipated movie “Kushi,” starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha, has been attracting positive attention since its initial look was unveiled. Following their debut song “Na Rojaa Nuvve,” the creators recently released another track called “Aradhya” from the film last month. When discussing “Aradhya,” Vijay Deverakonda revealed that certain moments in the song hold a connection to his life and personal encounters, despite not being married. The actor also shared that he imagines his married life to follow a similar path.

Shiva Nirvana directs “Kushi,” which also features Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya in its cast.
To kickstart the countdown for the trailer, Samantha unveiled a fresh poster from the movie. The poster depicted Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha seated together on the floor. The film has already treated fans to three romantic songs, including the title track, “Na Rojaa Nuvve,” and “Aradhya,” all of which have been warmly embraced by their fan base.
“Kushi” brings together Samantha and Vijay once again, reuniting them after their appearance in the 2018 movie “Mahanati.” This film also marks Samantha’s second collaboration with filmmaker Shiva Nirvana. They had previously worked together in the 2019 film “Majili,” which also featured her former husband Naga Chaitanya.
Samantha, currently on a work hiatus to prioritize her health, is anticipated to allocate time for the promotional activities of “Kushi.” She just came back from a vacation in Bali.
Why Kushi is important for Vijay, Samantha
“Kushi” holds special importance for both Vijay and Samantha, given that their previous high-budget releases didn’t fare well at the box office. Vijay’s Hindi film debut in “Liger,” alongside Ananya Panday, last year received negative reviews from both critics and audiences. Similarly, Samantha’s eagerly awaited film “Shaakuntalam,” despite extensive visual effects, didn’t meet the makers’ expectations in terms of performance.
In addition to “Kushi,” Vijay is also involved in Gowtam Tinnanuri’s upcoming film, currently known as “VD 12,” where he stars alongside Sreeleela. Samantha has recently concluded her work on a web series. The Indian portion of the Russo Brothers’ action series named Citadel, co-starring Varun Dhawan. This series, developed by Raj and DK, is set to be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
