In the last part of Loki Season 2, Episode 6, we got to know what’s going on with two important characters: Ravonna Renslayer and Alioth. MCU fans, rejoice!
Warning – this article contains spoilers for the Season 2 finale of Loki.
Loki Season 2 really shook things up on Disney+. The last episode tackled some big problems with the Sacred Timeline, moving our Asgardian friend Loki into the next chapter of his adventure. Tom Hiddleston’s character got a spotlight all to himself, even getting a new title. But it wasn’t just Loki in the spotlight—other characters like Renslayer had their time to shine too. The MCU is still diving into more multiversal adventures!
Renslayer and Alioth Seen in Loki Season 2 Finale
Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s character, Judge Ravonna Renslayer, only showed up once in the finale of Loki Season 2. It was a big moment because she seemed to end up in the Void, the same place from Season 1, Episode 5.
While sitting on the ground, a glowing purple light covered her face, hinting at the return of Alioth, the floating cloud monster in the Void.
This was the first time we saw Alioth since Loki Season 1, Episode 5, when Loki and Sylvie defeated him by using their powers to reveal the Citadel at the End of Time.
Will Renslayer Return After Loki Season 2?
After Renslayer and Miss Minutes tried to take control of the TVA following Victor Timely’s betrayal, it’s clear that Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s villainous character is not done causing trouble.
Considering her connection with Kang the Conqueror, even though He Who Remains erased her memories while ruling the TVA, she might follow her comic book storyline as one of his love interests and aid him in his quest for power.
Earlier in the season, it was confirmed that Renslayer had worked with a Kang Variant. However, the last episode left Kang in uncertainty, partly due to Jonathan Majors’ impending domestic abuse trial.
Fortunately, Loki producer Kevin Wright hinted at many more stories to come, offering hope for Renslayer and Alioth’s return to the spotlight. Season 2 of Loki is available for streaming on Disney+.
