MI New York beats Seattle Orcas by 7 wickets to win MLC 2023

On Monday morning, Nicholas Pooran did an amazing job in a cricket match. He scored 137 runs in just 55 balls and helped his team, Mumbai Indians New York, win the first Major League Cricket tournament.

They needed 184 runs to win, and they did it with 24 balls remaining.

Pooran hit 13 sixes and 10 fours during his incredible innings. He scored the most runs in the whole tournament and even made the fastest half-century of the season, taking just 16 balls to do it. It was a fantastic performance!

When Pooran’s team won the cricket match, he was leading them because their captain, Kieron Pollard, was injured.

After the victory, Pooran said they wanted to make history, and even though they had lost their captain and a few other players, everyone played their part in the win.

They knew the pitch was good for batting, and they had been getting ready for this match for a week. They had to be confident and trust each other. In a previous match, they faced a lot of pressure, but this time, they managed to win.

Pooran encouraged himself to bat like he does and believed in his skills. It paid off, and they were victorious!
