Michelle Yeoh marries Jean Toft in Geneva after 19-year engagement

This week, the famous actress Michelle Yeoh got married to her long-time partner Jean Todt in Geneva, Switzerland. It’s been almost twenty years since Jean Todt, a former executive at Ferrari, proposed to her.

They didn’t announce the wedding publicly right away. It was only after Felipe Massa, a former Formula One racer, posted about the event on social media and shared photos of the couple along with a pamphlet with all the details.

Finally, on Friday, Jean Todt confirmed the marriage himself on social media. He happily announced that he has married the love of his life, Michelle Yeoh, and referred to Felipe Massa as his other son.

The couple first met in Shanghai back in June 2004. Then, just a month later in late July of the same year, Todt proposed to Yeoh.

Finally, after a long time of being together, on the 27th of July, 2023, in Geneva, they got married surrounded by their loved ones. They were so happy to share this special moment with everyone!

Yeoh recently made history in March when she won an Oscar for best actress. She’s the first actress of Southeast Asian descent to achieve this honour.

During her acceptance speech, she mentioned how this win is a source of hope and possibility for all the little girls and boys who look like her. She encouraged everyone to dream big because dreams really can come true.
