NBA Draft 2020: Shortly after hearing news of Klay Thompson’s leg injury, the Warriors decided to stick with the 2020 NBA draft second choice to pick James Wiseman.
The move, which Anthony Edwards first followed against the Timberwolves, could be seen as a pivotal decision on Wednesday night. With the Golden State fighting to maintain its future while remaining a serious contender for the Western Conference, Wiseman will be producing almost immediately. A serious injury to Thompson would further increase the pressure on Wiseman to surrender. NBA
The Hornets took LaMelo Ball in 3rd place, perhaps surprised that the guard was approaching.
Other notable options were Deni Avdija, who fell in love with the magicians at number 9, and Tyrese Haliburton, who fell into the hands of kings at number 1. 12 and RJ Hampton fall to number 24 on the nuggets.
