Peaky Blinders Season 6: The sixth season of Peaky Blinders is now officially green, and Paul Anderson, who plays Arthur Shelby, has a few updates on it.
The series’ creator and writer Steven Knight have also announced his plans for the show’s future beyond next season.
Peaky Blinders Season 6 Release Date
While fans left their seats behind last season, there is a lot of hope and excitement for the upcoming sixth season.
The show’s writer and creator, Steve Knight, has officially announced through the Birmingham Press Club that “we will definitely do [the series] six and probably seven”.
The makers also announced that filming for the sixth season would continue in early 2021 and the series could air in late 2021 or early 2022.
Mr. Bean as Adolf Hitler?
The show is based on a real crime thriller. Its story begins with World War II, which Tommy and his brothers viewed as soldiers.
Hence, the show consists of famous people like Oswald Mosley, Winston Churchill.
In the next season of The Peaky Blinders, we will see mankind’s most hated criminals, Hitler. There are rumors of Hitler’s role in Rowan Atkinson, also known as Mr. Bean, but the creators of this show immediately rejected the rumors.

The future of the show beyond Season 6
In an interview with Knight on Devdiscourse, he revealed that he wanted to preserve the series’ story until the start of World War II.
“I intend to keep the story until the first siren of the airstrike in World War II,” he said. “Then this will be the true story of an interwar family.”
This event will include two seasons of the show: seasons 6 and 7.
“I’m very close to the end of season six in terms of scripts and then we’ll be filming it,” Knight continued. “And then I’ll start with Season 7.”
If the energy of the show continues to grow and the reception of the show is positive, Knight will make a decision from here.
“We’re going to think about other ways to continue the story,” he said.
Season 5 cliffhanger
Peaky Blinders season 6 premiered final season. As a reminder, the fifth season ended in great agony, showing Tommy pointing a gun at his head.
“It’ll be captured right away. So the first picture we’ll see will come back in this area,” revealed the series director Anthony Bryne. “Tommy with a gun on his head, then we move on, we solve this amazing moment, it’s wonderful.
Season 6 production update
Meanwhile, Anderson has rolled out a major production update for the sixth season of Peaky Blinders.
“Season 6 #comingsoon” shared on Instagram with a cartoon photo of his character. “Thank you all for waiting. It will have been worth it.”
Season six was scheduled to start earlier this year but was later postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The sets, the costumes were built. The cameras and lenses were tested. The locations were blocked,” Byrne told Digital Spy. “All the preparations have been made. It is a shame we cannot do this [now].”
When it was announced that the show was about to air, Byrne, announced that the Peaky Blinders season could take place in late 2021 or early 2022.
