LEIGH-ANNE Pinnock’s close friend and hairdresser Stefan Bertin has publicly savaged her former bandmate Jesy Nelson – cruelly telling fans not to stream her debut solo single Boyz.
Stefan, who is part of Leigh-Anne’s inner circle and was at her 30th birthday bash last week, has taken to Twitter on multiple occasions since the release to mock Jesy, 30, despite the singer not hitting back.
After one music lover tweeted they were going to listen to the track on release day he replied: “Don’t”.
Slamming P Diddy for appearing in the song’s music video and allowing Jesy to sample his hit Bad Boys for Life, Leigh-Anne’s BFF vented: “Diddy is NOT seeing the pearly gates. He’s not even seeing purgatory.
“Straight one way ticket to the underworld. Do not pass go. Do not collect any more Danity Kane royalties.”
As accusations of blackfishing swirled and Jesy appeared on a live stream with song collaborator Nicki Minaj where the rapper launched a blistering attack on Leigh-Anne for DMing an influencer and branding Jesy a ‘horrible person’, Stefan mocked calling the release a ‘mess’.
Despite knowing Jesy has suffered at the hands of trolls in the past and even quit Little Mix due to poor mental health, he stuck the boot in further, on October 15, branding Adele a ‘true ally’ as he shared a trolls post which read: “Adele coming to torch any last hopes of a number 1 from the “UK Baddie”. Thank you, ma’am.”
A source close to the drama told The Sun: “The last thing Jesy wanted was to be embroiled in a Little Mix vs Jesy feud.
“The girls have been through a lot together and she truly believes everyone can co exist in the industry without the war of words. The fans deserve better. It’s all getting a bit much.”
Responding to allegations of blackfishing, Jesy insisted she never wanted to offend or hurt anyone – but rather was celebrating the music she loved before ten years in Little Mix.
She said: “I personally want to say that my intention was never, ever to offend people of colour with this video and my song because like I said, growing up as a young girl, this is the music that I listened to.
“These are the videos that I watched and thought were the best. For me personally, ’90s R&B were the best years in music. I just wanted to celebrate that.”
The Sun recently revealed that Jesy will give her debut solo performance of the track on The Graham Norton Show next week.
Despite being booked on the show, the starlet, who is currently locked in rehearsals ahead of filming on Thursday, will swerve a full scale grilling from Graham and only briefly chat following her performance.
Meanwhile, Little Mix are preparing to release their new album Between Us. The greatest hits records features a number of new tracks including the eyebrow raising single Cut You Off.
The Sun told how Jade Thirlwall sings on the song: ” Cause you don’t wanna listen, you got me so triggered.
“Can’t be mad about it when you handed me the scissors. Everyone’s got a limit, really pushed me there now I’ve hit it. Gotta cut you off.”
Meanwhile, Perrie adds: “Someone tell me how, how did we get here? It used to be so good. “Nothing lasts forever, but I really thought we could.”
