Two baby tigers were discovered dead in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) in Tamil Nadu. The people who take care of the forest, called Forest Department officials and told everyone about this on Thursday.
The little tigers were found on Wednesday. Their bodies were taken to be checked by special doctors after they died. The doctors’ report shows that both tigers didn’t have any food in their tummies.
This means their mom left them all alone. A person named P. Arun Kumar, who helps look after the MTR, talked to the news people and said this.
The person who takes care of the forest also said that there were no cuts or marks on the bodies of the tigers. And they didn’t find any bad stuff like poison in them either.
The forest department officials are waiting for a forensic report of the sample of carcasses of the two tiger cubs to ascertain the cause of death.
Tamil Nadu has recorded an increase in Tiger population from 264 in 2018 to 306 in 2022, as per the report in the website of the Union forest ministry.
The Tamil Nadu government has been properly monitoring to prevent any poaching activities in the tiger reserves and forest areas.
